• LDAP: removal of HRS hosed AD... because the department groups were wiped out
  • Problem 1: when the ou=People,ou=Expired branch was consolidated into the ou=People branch, the add_groupofnames.pl script was not updated to add the proper member to the expired groups. Therefore, no expired groups have been fed into AD since then, they just get deleted immediately.
  • Problem 2: The names of departments changed in PeopleSoft.
  • HRS defunct feed information restored

• LDAP Update did not actually apply modifications because I missed a file when I rolled out the production code yesterday so the shell script that runs the ldapmodify command didn't look in the correct directory and didn't find the modifications to apply. That caused the DCE account creations to fail and the ActiveDirectory update ran fine but didn't do anything.
• LDAP Update also tripped over two bugs in the update perl code that caused three (3) PeopleSoft modifies to fail because it couldn't locate the existing entries (NiD 999999999 based) and a logic problem that failed the creation of a new staff entry (again based on NiD 999999999) -- fixed
• Got declaration of what address type will be used for business (work) addresses and updated that code in PeopleSoft Engine.

• A misspelled environment variable name in the ldap_update.sh bash script prevents the nightly update from running. Unfortunately, bash -n did not find the error... /sigh

• Ouch... 179 people who had been dropped from the HRS feed have come back
• Ouch... 2 people who are students got new accounts created
• Generate list of people who were identified as Student's from HRS and are not being so identified from PeopleSoft and ask HR if those codes should be considered students
